WiFi access on your child’s school bus?

IS THIS A GOOD OR BAD UPGRADE?

IS THIS NECESSARY?

IS THIS SAFE?….

School districts in the state of Ohio are making the internet available to children while on the school bus.

Many pros and cons!

There are MANY much needed improvements when it comes to public education: New books, New water fountains, Safer physical education equipment- the list goes on and on…Aren’t these matters more important than school bus internet connectivity? Is this the BEST example of effective tax payer funding?

Having your child connected to the internet while riding to and from school could lead to safety issues. Could your child have access to easily- hacked and/or easily traced programs, unknowingly making themselves vulnerable to cyber-danger. Is this a distraction from education or a educational tool? OR…is this a great, trendy approach to education? Do our children need internet access for long bus rides, for homework, last minute test cramming…?
