Usher and Summer Walker have released a new visual for their duet “Come Thru.”
The clip is an ode to the city of Atlanta, which features the two artists walking at the 285 Flea Market, doing doughnuts in muscle cars and hitting the town.
Those of us who remember the ’90s will notice something familiar about Usher’s dance moves in the video. He dusted off some of the choreography from his 1997 hit “You Make Me Wanna…” which is sampled on “Come Thru.” Director Lacey Duke says, “I definitely asked Usher to do the exact choreography from ‘You Make Me Wanna’ cause I’m…weird.”
- It’s a new anthem for your next booty call or late-night hookup.
- It’s nice to see some artists having fun in a real environment instead of just hitting a few lazy dance moves in front of a green screen.
- I bet Usher gets a lot less calls to “Come Thru” these days, if you know what I mean.
- Summer knows the kind of music people want to hear in cuffing season.
