Rappers Paul Wall & Baby Bash Facing 5 years to Life

Unfortunately the holiday weekend wasn’t a time of celebration for some families. On Friday, December 23rd, Houston rappers Paul Wall and Baby Bash were among a group of people arrested and charged with a felony of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance between 4-400 grams, according to KPRC Local 2. As a result, they both had to face a Houston judge on Tuesday, December 27th.

The prosecutor claims that the drug bust was at a party which had a $10 cover charge and access to marijuana, THC oil and pills. The undercover cops knew about the location and time of the event, which was referenced as a ‘smokeout,’ because it was apparently advertised through an Instagram account called “Secret Smoke Society.” The instagram included all the details of the party, as well as the $10 cover charge.

The case will eventually face a grand jury and if either of them are convicted, they face anywhere from 5 years to life in prison.

Neither one of the rappers have given a statement as it relates to the pending case. They’ve only taken to Instagram to promote music, upcoming performances and how they spent Christmas.
