Live @ the Lakefront has announced their performers for 2017. The annual live music series will celebrate its sixth season on three consecutive Fridays, March 17th, 24th, and 31st, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lakefront Promenade’s Arcade Amphitheatre.
March 17th Tank and the Bangas, the Funk band who recently won “Band of the Year” at the New Orleans Big Easy Awards and recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Norah Jones
March 24 The Lost Bayou Ramblers, the progressive Cajun Band who received a Grammy nomination in 2007 for the new category “Best Zydeco or Cajun Music”
March 31 The Flamethrowers, the popular party rock band of 20-somethings from Louisiana returns to close out the festival
The public is encouraged to bring chairs and a blanket to put down on the amphitheater’s communal green space. The Arts Council will benefit from all beverage sales. No outside ice chests are allowed.
