We are very proud of our local high school athletes for their outstanding performance at the Louisiana State Track and Field Championships this weekend! We have one State Champion, Chris Edwards Senior at Washington-Marion High School wins the state high Jump with a 6ft 10’ jump, his season’s best by 2 inches
Trevon De Boest from Lagrange had a wonderful day winning 3 silver medals! He first sets a personal record as he won silver in 200 meters with a 21.64 200 meter. Then he and his fellow relay teammates win silver medals in the 4×100 relay with a time of 42.22 and the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:27.72!! Smoking!! Making the varsity team in track and field in high school is tough, but to make it to state meet and medal is an achievement that these young people will have pride in for the rest of their lives!! We here at Live 104.9 salute you and are proud of you!!
