We all thought game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Cavs vs Celtics would be a cakewalk. No Isaiah Thomas, the Cavs destroying the Celtics twice in Boston, and Cleveland not having a playoff loss since losing Game 4 of the NBA Finals last year seemed to equate to an insurmountable feat for the Celtics. But as the old cliche goes, “That’s why they play the games!”. The Celtics led by the backcourt of Marcus Smart (27 pts, 7-10 on 3’s) and Avery Bradley (20 pts) battled back from a 21 pt deficit to win the game on an Avery Bradley 3 at the buzzer. Lebron can’t score 11 pts in a playoff game, he is too good for that and he means too much to his team to perform that way. We all know he won’t play that way the next game.
