Missouri could become the first state without an abortion clinic, as the state threatens to shutdown the last remaining clinic there, unless Planned Parenthood can save it.
Officials from the organization announced Tuesday that they’re filing a lawsuit to stop the closure of the clinic located in St. Louis.
Dr. Leana Wen, the president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a phone call with reporters on Tuesday, “This is not a drill. This is not a warning. This is real and it is a public health crisis.” (ABC News)
Hot Takes:
- The license for the clinic expires on Friday. If the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services doesn’t renew it, the clinic will close.
- If you’re against abortion, don’t have one.
- Abortion continues to be a hot-button issue in America.
