At least one person is dead after a helicopter made a “hard landing” on the top of a building in New York City.
The chopper came down on top of the Equitable building on Seventh Avenue, about halfway between Times Square and Central Park. A fire ensued, but it was extinguished quickly. The building does not have a landing pad.
Visibility in New York was low (Monday) with rain and low clouds in the area. (WABC-TV)
