A Sacramento police officer was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call Wednesday night.
26-year-old officer Tara O’Sullivan showed up at the home to help a woman collect her belongings and leave the house when a man opened fire on her. The other woman was able to safely escape. Because of the armed man holed up inside the house, police weren’t able to reach O’Sullivan for about 40 minutes. They ultimately used an armed vehicle to reach her and take her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, police remained in a standoff with the male shooter until early this morning when he finally surrendered. (Fox News)
