There’s good legal news and bad for Offset.
Prosecutors in Georgia have dropped a gun possession charge against the Migos rapper — along with two other minor charges. But according to TMZ, they did so at the request of federal prosecutors who say the state case could imperil a larger federal investigation.
There’s no word on what the feds are targeting Offset for, but his lawyer says they’ve received “no information” about that probe.
Hot Takes:
- If I were Offset, I think it’d be more paranoid than relieved. It’s just a matter of time before the other shoe drops.
- This sure sounds like they’re trying to build a serious case against him — maybe RICO?
- Free Offset!
