9/11 BILL: Goes to Trump as it Passes In the Senate

9/11 first responders should never have to worry about funding for their healthcare and other bills again.

The Senate has passed a bill keeping the federal 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund solvent until the year 2092. The vote was 97-2, and President Trump is expected to sign the legislation into law.

The Victims Compensation Fund provides assistance to firefighters, cops, EMTs and other victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center. It was running out of money, and Jon Stewart‘s emotional testimony on Capitol Hill has been credited with spurring the new legislation. (NBC News)
