Former Baseball Player Dwight Gooden Arrested Again

Strike two! Former baseball great Dwight Gooden scored his second DUI arrest this summer after he was caught heading the wrong way down a one-way street Monday night in Newark, New Jersey.

This comes just a few weeks after he was busted on DUI and drug possession charges in another Jersey town.

Insiders tell the New York Post that the onetime Met and Yankee pitcher was a “mess” when police stopped him. A law enforcement source says, “He [urinated] himself. He was clearly buzzed, really kind of [messed] up.”

Gooden, who’s had a long history of drug abuse, was arrested June 7th in Holmdel, New Jersey for allegedly driving erratically. Officers reportedly found cocaine in the car.
