R. Kelly just got hit with two more sex crime charges — this time in Minnesota.
Prosecutors allege Kells paid a teenage girl to have sex with him in a Minneapolis hotel room back in 2001. The alleged victim asked for an autograph and, in turn, was offered $200 to get naked and get busy with him. The two never actually had intercourse, but there was still some inappropriate touching. Kelly was charged with engaging in prostitution with someone under 18 and hiring, offering or agreeing to hire someone for sexual contact.
The singer’s lawyer is hardly bothering to dispute individual allegations at this point. Steve Greenberg tweeted, “Give me a break. This is beyond absurd.” (TMZ)
Hot Takes:
- Kells is currently on trial in New York and Illinois.
- It’s like the different districts are fighting over who will bring him to justice first.
- When it rains, it pours.
