Jussie Smollett‘s PR team issued a statement yesterday insisting that “every iota” of the former Empire star’s story about his hate attack in Chicago is true and backed up by police evidence.
The statement was issued to the media after the city of Chicago filed new documents in court related to its lawsuit against Smollett to recoup the cost of investigating the incident which they argue was a staged publicity stunt. The city says they have GPS data, video and other evidence to prove that Smollett paid two men to stage the attack. (WBBM-TV)
