Thomas Markle wants to reconcile with his estranged daughter Meghan Markle so he can meet his grandson Archie.
In an interview with Britain’s Daily Mail, the 75-year-old said, “Of course I’m disappointed not to see Archie. I had hoped becoming a mother would mellow Meghan and she would reach out.”
Thomas said he’d settle for a photo of the infant, but so far that hasn’t happened. “I would like them to send me a picture of Archie so I can frame it and put it on my wall beside the one of Meghan. Isn’t that what any grandfather would want? I’d love to know if he’s got the famous Markle nose.”
The former Hollywood lighting director said his issues with the Duchess are only recent. “There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently. I’ve stayed quiet because Meghan was pregnant with Archie but I’m speaking out now because they and their PR people are continuing to ghost me out of her life.”
But he holds out hope they can be a happy family again. Thomas said, “I believe all family differences can be resolved and I believe that can still happen for me, Meghan and Harry.”
Hot Takes:
- A grandfather should at least get a photo.
- They’re probably worried he’d sell the photo to the tabloids.
- She’s a duchess now. She doesn’t have time for the little people.
