For better or worse, R. Kelly is now part of the general population in prison.
The singer’s lawyer has been complaining about his conditions while in solitary confinement. But now the leash has been loosened. Kells has been upgraded to 10 non-attorney visits a month, 10 times what he was previously entitled to. He’ll also be allowed more phone calls and E-mails. And he’ll get more fresh air and rec time.
Prosecutors allege it was actually Kelly who requested to be placed in solitary confinement. He was eventually given cellmates. They say he hasn’t been in “true solitary” for the past three weeks. (TMZ)
