The San Francisco Bay Area was rattled late last night by a magnitude 4.5 earthquake.
The temblor struck around 10:30 p.m. and was centered about 20 miles northeast of San Francisco. Residents reported feeling intense shaking but there have been no reports of injuries or major damage. A smaller 2.5 tremor struck just minutes before the quake. (NBC News)
