IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY: House Plans to Vote on Thursday

The House plans to vote on Thursday on a resolution to formalize — and to put in place goal posts – for the impeachment inquiry of Donald Trump.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent out a letter to Democratic House lawmakers that said the resolution “affirms the ongoing, existing investigation” and “establishes the procedure” for future moves in the probe.

Pelosi continued, “We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives.” (FOX News)

Hot Takes:

  • Seems like Pelosi wants to make sure the Democrats have all their ducks in a row before moving forward.
  • Judging from the crowd at Game 5 of the World Series, the American people want Trump impeached.
  • Maybe the Dems should reconsider. After all, the U.S. just took out the head of ISIS under Trump’s watch.
