House Speaker Nancy Pelosi clapped back at Donald Trump on Tuesday after he criticized the testimony of Ukraine expert Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman. Pelosi tweeted, “Everybody has read your words on the call.”
Pelosi went on to write that in the summary of the July 25th phone call that was released by the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requests for military assistance to fend of Russia. Trump responds, “I want you to do us a favor though” and asks for a probe into his political rivals.
As expected, Trump tweeted criticism of Vindman earlier on Tuesday, writing, “Was he on the same call I was? Can’t be possible.” He also called Vindman a “Never Trumper.” (USA Today)
