JOHNNY DEEP: Settled Malpractice Lawsuit with Former Lawyer

Johnny Depp has settled his malpractice suit against his former lawyers for a reported $10 million.

The actor sued the Bloom Hergott law firm for $50 million in 2017 and a trial was set to begin on December 2nd. His new lawyer, Adam Waldman, tells Deadline, “The law firm formerly known as Bloom Hergott, sued by Johnny Depp for a multi-decade fraud and malfeasance spree, and after losing a landmark 6147 ruling, avoided the shame of evidence in a public trial by paying Mr. Depp an eight-figure settlement. They are correct that eight figures is a fraction of nine figures.”

But Depp’s legal problems are hardly over. He has a defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard and he’s set to go to trial for allegedly punching a location manager on the set of the upcoming movie City of Lies.

Hot Takes:

  • His legal bills must be eight figures.
  • Depp needs to get back to making good movies.
  • What the hell happened to Johnny Depp?
