Kodak Black finds out his fate this week.
The South Florida rapper has been behind bars in Miami’s Federal Detention Center since May, when he was arrested on federal firearms charges on his way to Rolling Loud. Kodak decided against a trial, and opted to plead guilty instead.
On Wednesday, he’ll be sentenced for two counts, each of which carries a statutory minimum of 10 years. Due to a plea deal, the government has recommended that Kodak receive a sentence on the “low end of the guideline range,” but a judge will have the final say.
Hot Takes:
- DJ Akademiks says Kodak’s sentence will be eight years or less.
- Sounds like Kodak is going away for a while. Keep your head up.
- Free Kodak!
- Sounds pretty harsh. It’s not like he actually shot someone.
- It feels like they’re making an example out of him — or at least trying to.
