JIMMY CARTER: Underwent a Successful Brain Surgery

Former President Jimmy Carter was taken to the hospital Monday in preparation for an operation to reduce pressure on his brain, due to bleeding from his recent falls, a spokesperson said.

The procedure is set for Tuesday morning at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

According to a spokesperson, Carter was reportedly “resting comfortably, and his wife, Rosalynn, is with him.”

The 95-year-old Carter is the oldest living American president. He was last hospitalized on October 21st after he broke his pelvis. That was his third fall this year. (ABC News)
