Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has been given a clean bill of health by the doctor who he saw during his two terms as vice president.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor said Tuesday in a statement released by the Biden campaign, “Vice President Biden is a healthy, vigorous 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency, to include those as chief executive, head of state, and commander in chief.”
Biden’s health and age have been a topic of discussion even prior to his announcement in April that he was running for president. (FOX News)
Hot Takes:
- Biden is one of five people in their 70s running for president, including 78-year-old Senator Bernie Sanders, ex-New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, 77; Senator Elizabeth Warren, 70; and Donald Trump, who is 73.
- Don’t be surprised to see Trump continue to call Biden “Sleepy Joe.”
- More power to those in their 70s trying to make a difference.
- Most people in their 70s are retired or at least thinking about it, but in politics you can still run for one of the most important jobs in the world.
