Drake admits that his 2018 battle with Pusha-T left some scars.
The two went head to head in a series of diss tracks that ended with Pusha revealing the existence of Drake’s child. In a lengthy interview with Rap Radar, Drake says that Pusha-T’s “The Story of Adidon” was “a genius play in the game of chess.” He added that Pusha crossed an unforgivable line and that he has “no desire to mend anything with that person.”
Drake added, “I bowed out after realizing that the gap between us allowed him to drop a bomb on the world. I sleep well at night knowing I didn’t get out-barred. I didn’t get, you know, doned off by some crazy song. It was just, you know, he told the world that the biggest artist at the time has a kid that he hasn’t told you about. I knew kind of, for me, it was over at that point. It wasn’t even about battle rap.”
Drake posted the two-hour-plus interview with Rap Radar on his YouTube page. In it he discusses his relationships with Rihanna and Lil Wayne plus the allegations that he uses ghostwriters.
