CORONAVIRUS: Death Toll Rises To 565, More on Cruise Ship

The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak is now at 565, and a quarantined cruise ship moored off Japan has confirmed 10 more cases of the virus.

Three Americans are among the 20 confirmed cases on the Princess cruise ship, which remains under quarantine as more than 3,000 people on board continue to be screened by health officials.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin has confirmed its first case of coronavirus, bringing the total number in the country to 12. There have been more than 28,000 confirmed cases across the globe, with the majority of them in China. (CBS News)

Hot Takes:

  • The U.S. is taking every precaution to prevent the spread of the virus. 12 is still very low number.
  • The big fear people have is being in close quarters with someone who may be sick or carrying the virus.
  • People on that cruise ship can expect to remain there for up to two weeks.
