EARTHQUAKE: Salt Lake City Shook Up

UPDATE (12:00 p.m. ET): The Salt Lake City Airport has been knocked out of operation and so has the state’s coronavirus hotline. There are still no reports of any injuries. (ABC News

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake shook up the Salt Lake City area this morning rattling homes and businesses shortly after 7 a.m.

The quake, which was the state’s largest since 1992, rattled homes and business, but there were no reports of any collapses or major damage. Power was knocked out to approximately 55,000 customers. The epicenter was located in Magna, Utah, just west of Salt Lake City. Several aftershocks have already been felt. (Salt Lake Tribune)
