SLIM THUG: Tests Positive for the Coronavirus

Slim Thug is the latest celeb to test positive for the coronavirus.

The Houston rapper told his Instagram followers that he’s been really careful about self-quarantining. He says he mainly stayed at home, and might have gone out a few times for food, but made sure to wear a mask and gloves. Despite those precautions, he still wound up contracting and testing positive for COVID-19. It just goes to show you — you can’t be too safe.

The 39-year-old rapper appears to be in a good spirits and health at this time. He’s set to release a new album on Friday.

Hot Takes:

  • This doesn’t mean the best practices people like the CDC is suggesting should be ignored. They reduce your chances of catching the disease, but there are no guarantees.
  • We’ve seen rappers like G Herbo and The Wu-Tang Clan advising fans on proper hygiene techniques. Meanwhile, guys like Casanova are determined to prove the virus won’t stop them.
  • The ‘Rona is like an unsigned rapper trying to give you their mixtape — it will stop at nothing.
  • It’s just a matter of time before artists start saying they’ve got it just to get people talking about them.
