Earlier this month, Pharrell appeared at a press conference in Virginia to announce Juneteenth as a state holiday. Now, he wants to take things a step further.
Skateboard P is using his platform to try to make Juneteenth a paid holiday. He posted a call to action on the ‘Gram. “This year, hundreds of CEOs and companies stepped forward to publicly observe, honor and celebrate Juneteenth. This was a step in the right direction. But now we need more to join. I’m calling on all companies to COMMIT and SIGN the #JUNETEENTHPLEDGE today.”
