Beyonce is doing her part to bail out Black-owned businesses.
The BeyGOOD foundation has teamed up with the NAACP to provide $10,000 grants to Black-owned business. The Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund will award grants to businesses in need in Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis that need money to help make it through the economic downturn.
Businesses based in the aforementioned cities can apply online until July 19th. Applications will then be reviewed between July 20th and 29th, with selected applicants notified on Beyonce.com on July 31st. To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be a “Black-owned small business owner” and be able to “provide property damage or replacement estimate,” per the guidelines.
Hot Takes:
- Considering 90-percent of applications from Black-owned small business for Paycheck Protection loans were denied, this will definitely come in handy.
- We don’t deserve Beyonce.
- Beyonce for president.
