CORONAVIRUS CONFERENCE: Canceled Due to Threat of Coronavirus

Apparently a conference called Doing Business Under Coronavirus turned out to be wishful thinking, because it too has been canceled due to — you guessed it — the threat of coronavirus.

The event, hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations, was scheduled for Friday in New York. The CFR has also canceled other in-person conferences that were scheduled from Wednesday through April 3rd, including events in New York, Washington and around the country.

The CFR meetings are on a growing list of canceled or postponed events, including the New York auto show, which has been rescheduled for late August. (Bloomberg)

Hot Takes:

  • No word whether Doing Business Under Coronavirus has been retooled as an online conference.
  • At least we can find a bit of humor in this pandemic.
  • There may have been some useful knowledge shared at this roundtable. Maybe it’ll be rescheduled for a future date.
